It was virtually impossible to grow up in Garden City or elsewhere on Long Island without Mr. LeSueur having a strong positive impact on you. I consider myself lucky to have known him since my earliest childhood years and am thankful I had the chance to share recent memories. He will be missed.

I got to know Paul when he was working with the NY Power. He was always quick with a joke, offered a smile, and was ready to talk soccer at any time. Rest In Peace Paul and thanks for everything!

So very lucky to have begun our friendship with Liz and Paul as neighbors on Huntington Road, and to have watched their 4 and our 4 children grow up together.
Throughout the years, we always knew Paul as a wonderful man, dedicated to his family, to his profession, and to the community and well beyond.
Our hearts are heavy. We will miss Paul dearly, but he will continue to live on in our hearts and memories, and in his beautiful family.
Paul leaves a rich and everlasting legacy in his loving wife, Liz, his children and grandchildren, and in the innumerable lives that he touched and gave a part of
    himself to.
Paul- rest well in eternal peace and glory.
We offer our love and support to the entire LeSueur family, and wish them peace and comfort, now and always.
    Love, Cynthia and Al Adamo

I just saw that Paul had passed. I am so sorry for your loss. Paul was an assistant coach for the Springfield College 1971 Men's Freshman Team. I was a player on that team and a mediocre player at best, but Paul spent lots of time with me and even asked me to be a part of his thesis for his Master's Program. He left a lasting impact on me and I have used many of his coaching techniques as I still coach youth soccer.

Every once in a while you meet that rare person, someone who has a certain knack for making you feel confident and comfortable in their presence. We met Paul at the NY Power women's soccer camp when our daughters were young aspiring players. For all of his experience, he was down to earth, approachable and had the kindest personality. He took the time and interest to speak with & encourage our girls and when Jess started moving up, he trained her a few times - one on one at no cost - to help prepare her for the season. You could reach him any time by phone as well. He is a special man who inspired countless young players; a man who gave without ceasing. May he be in eternal peace.

Saddened to hear of Paul's passing, my condolences to your family. I played ball with Paul at Springfield for 2 years and most recently spent time with him at our 50th reunion at Springfield. He was a great player and most importantly a tremendous leader.

One of the hugest influences of my life. Taught me how to work within my abilities to be the best I can be. Never gave up on me even though I was probably his worst player and always found a way to be positive. He will be sorely missed by all who have been fortunate enough to be impacted by him.

Earlier today a friend told me about the passing of Paul. What a huge loss to our communities, soccer and otherwise. God broke the mold when he made Paul. Tonight my heart hurts, but at the same time I feel blessed to have known Paul as my coach and later working for Paul at camps the past 8 years.

Paul was a true gentleman with an infectious personality. He touched so many people in his life through soccer, athletics and otherwise. Yes, Paul was an outstanding player, teacher and coach but he was an even BETTER man.

Thank you Paul for everything that you have taught me on and off the soccer pitch. You will never be forgotten.

We have been blessed to have Coach Le Sueur in our lives through his years coaching Sam, Anja and Mollie at the Waldorf School of Garden City. He taught us by example, the wonderful way to be a human being, forever kind, and with a twinkle in his heart. Our hearts go out to your whole family.

Dear Liz, and the Families of Paul Jr., Sarah, Peter and Bethany,

Extending our most heart-felt condolences and prayers on the passing of Paul, Sr. As this Fathers' Day approaches, not to diminish his many achievements, it is abundantly apparent and fitting to observe that Paul excelled at the most noble and critical of a man's earthly callings - that of husband, father and grandfather.

His passing has occasioned pause for our family to reflect with the fondest of memories on our GC years living next-door.

    With Love and Care,

The McKenna Family (Jim, Susie, Jamie, Amy, and Little Jimmy and Keira)...knowing that we speak on behalf of our beloved David as well.

Annette and I have attended as many NYU soccer games over the last 4 years. Seeing Paul and talking soccer with him was always one of the highlights. He was positive influence for the players and the parents. I’m happy I got the chance to know him and hang with him over the last few years. He will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace
