My mind goes back to the days when his daughter Nancy and I were in high school together, and I would frequently visit the Galligan home in Elmont. Mr. Galligan was always there with a welcoming word, a warm smile, a joke. I remember him engaging me in conversation, and I really felt like he listened to what I had to say. I have nice memories of feeling very comfortable at the Galligans'. Sending love and prayers to Nancy, Mrs. Galligan and all the Galligan "kids" and grandkids. I'll always remember him and his kindness. Love, Lisa M

So sorry to hear of Brendan’s passing. Lovely memories of a true gentleman who kept in contact with his Irish connections and always made us so welcome in his home. Sincere condolences to all his family

A very good kind man, although I only spoke to him a few times I enjoyed every minute. Rest In Peace, say “hi” to my dad for me.

I have been remembering all the times that I shared with my uncle throughout my life.
He served his country as a Soldier. He served his community as a NYPD police officer. This was a tragic accident. I will miss my Uncle Brendan. I am glad for the many memories and the good times.
