I volunteered with Ronnie with TWIGS at Winthrop Hospital- she was amazing. Truly a legend who set the “example bar” high showing us all how to be of service to everyone in our community. She will certainly not be forgotten but she will be missed. I was so saddened to read this, she was one of those ladies who you thought would love forever.

Mrs. Renken was our wonderful next door neighbor on Rockaway Ave. For my wedding she gave me a beautiful needlepoint pillow that she’d made which I’ve treasured for almost 30 years. So sad to say goodbye but happy to have had her in my life.

Blessed to have had Ronnie as the most sincere and dedicated volunteer mentor for so many years. Her calm and steady guidance will be so missed.

    To my dear friend,
May I first say thank you.
I am blessed to have been just one piece of the puzzle in your circle of friends. Friends that you have loved and nurtured as family.
I will honor your memory by practicing kindness, generosity and petting every Labrador Retriever that walks by.
As I cannot be there today I will take your advice “Sit quietly and say your prayers”
Lastly, you would sign your Labrador cards to me Love, licks and wags- Me, may I offer back to you your ending to each of our phone calls “God bless and I love you”
I remain wrapped in your love eternally.
    Your loving friend,
    Karen
