I’ve valued and loved the friendship of Sue and Ned for over 50 years…gosh, where did that time go! Although the friendship started with Sue, Ned became an unrelenting partner in our enduring relationship. I relish all our travel together, starting in Aruba when Laura was nine months old up until our cruise through Russia, pre pandemic. I welcomed all the poker nights we’d banter back and forth, typically with Ned winning!
And I think about all the times he loaded our kayaks so Sue and I could explore the marshes of the North Fork, not to mention all the idyllic boat rides in the Peconic Bay.
On all these excursions, he was our protector. That same protector was always the one to oversee his family….his most important legacy. I’ve no doubt that Ned will continue to watch his family from above, and shelter them with love and optimism.
