- May 07, 2022Please accept my condolences on the passing of your mother. She was a wonderfully kind, funny and loving woman. We worked together, side-by-side in the Publisher’s office for Newsday. Marie was not only a meticulous assistant to Jim Fitzgerald, she was someone who could ignite a spark in your heart whenever she was around. She delighted in the birth of each of her grandchildren and in the love she shared with your dad. An unprententious soul with a heart of gold. Rest In Peace, Marie, we will always have a place in our hearts.Judith Francis
