Sincere sympathy to all the Bennett family on the passing of Uncle Johnny. He was a much loved family member and we have very happy memories of his many visits to Ireland. I remember the great hospitality that I was shown by himself, Auntie Genevieve and all the family when I stayed in Garden City. He will be remembered with much love and affection. xx Serena and Mary

Uncle John will always have a special place in our hearts. We remember his positive disposition and lovely times spent together in Ireland and in the US. We were far away, but we still got a phone call from Uncle John, to check on how we were doing, if we moved aboard etc. His family and his Irish heritage were so important to him, it was lovely to see that. Our thoughts are with our American cousins, their families and friends at this time. May Uncle John rest in peace. Una, Oscar, Alba and Muirin

We were very sad to hear of Uncle John’s passing. Whenever we got the chance to meet him, he was so warm, kind and interested. He always had the broadest smile. Despite his own busy family, he always had time for the Bennetts in Ireland, whether taking us sightseeing in NYC or coming home for weddings and get togethers. He will be missed. Deepest sympathies to Genevieve, Mary, Matt, Tony and Michael, the extended family and all his wonderful grandchildren. Rest In Peace Uncle John x Mary Bennett and Peter Kelly, Cork
