Thomas Patrick Morris 

September 20, 1935 - December 28, 2022

Tom Morris, son of Thomas and Elsie Morris, was a Naval veteran and a retired Detective Sergeant of the NYPD with 33 years of service. He was a “Leader of Men”. Tom met his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth (Liz), at age sixteen in the Bronx, NY. They raised their three sons in Bayside, Queens. Upon retirement Tom and Liz spent 25 enjoyable years in St. Augustine, FL before returning to New York. Tom and Liz loved traveling and spending time with family and friends. Tom was also an avid follower of the NY Giants (both football and baseball) - he loved to tell a good story, he was good at making everyone smile and laugh. Tom is survived by his wife Liz, their son Thomas John (Karen), grandson TJ (Taylor), great grandson Brady, great granddaughter Avery, son Michael (LeeAnn), grandson Mike, grandson Joe (Shannon), great granddaughters Quinn and Olive, son Richard (Edith) and his brother Fred Morris and his family. 

Our family is grateful to know that Tom is finally at peace. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Snows Catholic Church (258-15 80th Ave. Queens, NY 11004) on February 4, 2023 at 10:30am. All are welcome
