It is with deep sadness that the family of Dr. Zacarias Aragon announce his peaceful passing on 4/19/2022 at the age of 93.

Dr. Aragon was a devoted physician who cared for many families in the West Hempstead area. He was loved by his patients for his caring demeanor and generosity.

As the owner of thoroughbred racehorses, Zac enjoyed going to the track where he formed many long-standing friendships.

He was a member of the Metropolitan Opera Guild and greatly enjoyed Wagnerian Opera.

He had many interests and was always educating himself on various topics by reading the NY Times daily, up until his final days. Even in retirement, no matter what Zac was doing, he always wore a suit.

He enjoyed shopping with his daughters, gardening, orchids, tabasco sauce and playing the lottery. He was an avid car enthusiast with a love for Ford Mustangs. He was a devoted NY Islanders fan.

He will be missed by all.... but especially by his children, grandchildren and his lifelong friend of over 80 years, Dr. Filiberto Poveda.
