Charles Alfred Ricklin, 84, of Richmond, Texas passed away on July 2, 2019. He was born on April 11, 1935 in Minneola, New York to Charles Augustus Ricklin and Catherine Nicholson Ricklin. He honorably served our country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict was Vice President of Alan Richardson settlements, worked for AIG and Lloyds of London. He retired in 1995 and became substitute teacher for LCISD. He was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Richmond where he was active in the Men’s group and sang in the Choir. Charlie loved cars, classical music, reading the news paper, mentoring the youth in education, cooking, spending time with his family, traveling, going to the movies and was a certified GIA Jewelry designer. This loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend will truly be missed by his family. He always showed so much love and compassion to everyone he met.
Survivors include his wife of 50 plus years, Barbara Lynn Kent Ricklin; daughter, Susan Irene Ricklin and husband, Joseph William French, Emily Ann Ricklin, Laura Kaye Ricklin, and Howard Eugene Ricklin; grandchildren, Raven Ann Beckett and husband, Juan Romero, Ashley Lynn Ricklin, Charles Albert Ricklin, Vinny Ricklin, Dorian Naporkowski, Dante Naporkowski, Duncan Charles Naporkowski and Kent Taylor Alfred Beckett; great grandchildren, Nathaniel Charles Castro, Gabriel Ray Beckett and Deanna Ricklin; along with extended family and friends.
