The world lost a quietly great man, devoted husband and father, a dedicated attorney and number one Yankee fan. Bob Pape, 63, passed away suddenly on February 13, 2020. He left his wife, Lori, daughter and son, Beth and Ken, and his newer children, their loving spouses, Ben and Laura. He was also a devoted and beloved brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, friend, colleague and ardent youth soccer coach. Bob was intelligent, curious, kind, warm, funny, silly and generous with his spirit. He was the first and last on the dance floor and keeper of light for his cherished Christmas decorations; the Force was strong with him. He spoke to everyone and actively worked to leave them with a smile. His highest compliment about someone was that they were a Woo; he was the original and King Woo. He has truly left his handprint on so many hearts. Bob was a committed defense attorney and believed strongly in everyone's First Amendment rights. In keeping with those beliefs, he was a passionate listener and supporter of NPR. In lieu of flowers, donations to NPR would be appreciated by the family. Despite our heartbreak, as Bob would have wanted, we will always look on the bright side of life and silly walk to his memory.
