KENNEY, William (Bill) J., of North Hills, New York, and Naples, Florida, died on May 3, 2021, after a brief illness. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Diane Kenney; they celebrated 50 years of marriage in October 2020. He was predeceased by his parents, Emily and Walter Kenney, and by his dear brother Jim and sister-in-law Marina Kenney. Bill is also survived by his sister Kath Bergin (Joe) of Naples, Florida. He will be greatly missed by his brothers-in-law, Dennis Donnelly (Nancy) and John Donnelly (Donna), by his sister-in-law Dorothea Warren (John), and by his many nieces and nephews. Bill was born in Brooklyn but grew up in Garden City, New York, where he attended St. Joseph School and graduated from Garden City High School, Class of 1964. He was a founding partner of Kenney Branisel, and later worked at Speer, Leeds & Kellogg before retiring from Goldman Sachs. Bill’s interests were as varied and wide-ranging as his travels. He and Diane enjoyed planning European river cruises and travels for family and friends, known as Kenney Tours. Bill was perfectly at ease entertaining family and friends whether it was at the Metropolitan Opera, Broadway Shows, on fishing trips to the Bahamas, or golf outings to Ireland. He also enjoyed time spent with his friends at the New Canaan Society.
