Madeline Wittmann passed away peacefully at age 98 on Sunday, September 4th. She lived a long and adventurous life during which she traveled the world with her loving husband, Oscar John Wittmann. Madeline taught elementary school for many years in Flushing, NY, where she was born and raised. She was a 50 year resident of Garden City and enjoyed her garden, golfing and boating. Her grand nieces and nephews fondly remember her Christmas celebrations each year which always included a recital, a visit from Santa and a nativity play that Madeline had scripted. She was predeceased by her husband and three brothers and leaves behind two sisters-in-law and several nieces, nephews and their children. Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale NY.
