Michele, I am thinking of you today, on your first Birthday in Heaven. I have not stopped thinking of you and your family since I found out about your passing. You added so much to my life in the time we were close friends. I look so forward to seeing you when my time on earth is through. I love you..❤️

To the family of Michele White,

I have just learned of Michele's passing and I am so very sorry for your loss. I met Michele when they bought property here in Walton, NY. I was the Town Clerk and Michele would come in frequently as the (project manager) of the building process of what became a BEAUTIFUL farm. While she kept everyone in line, we had many nice conversations and built a friendship.
I admired her attention to detail, strong mindset, and kindness all wrapped up in this small ball of fire woman. She will be missed, but remembered forever.
My deepest condolences to Peter and the entire family.

My heart is just broken. Totally broken. This doesn’t even seem real. I had been meaning to call you forever, but it never happened. Last night I decided to call and I googled your number, even though I still knew it by heart, and was shocked to see your picture and obituary. I don’t even have the right words right now. I am so so sad. Thinking of Peter, Dana, Kris, and all of your grandchildren, as well as your sister Merri. I love you, Michele…💔

Michele I have learned of your passing too many months later. I have so many memories of you from when I was little. When Derek was in the hospital and you took care of me so mom could be with him. You would ”tickle” my back to help me fall asleep and to this day at 39 that is still a way to help me fall asleep. You came to see my first baby boy when I had him who is now 20 and a Sailor. You will be so missed.

The song you wrote, played and sang says it ALL Peter! WOW! Tearful! I may have been at the Salty Dog that same night as I recall you beat me at a chin up contest on one of the wooden beams above the bar!! Which is likely why you are flexing in the photo! :)

Michele White came into my life when she and her family sat in front of me & my family at Church. She was a beautiful, warm woman and it was evident that she loved her husband, children & grandchildren. It wasn’t long after that she came to a GEMS girls group at Church with her oldest granddaughter, Rohan, in hand and the following year, Katie and Emma joined Rohan and Michele. Michele became a leader with lots of great ideas and energy to make the group an exciting and fun way to learn about Jesus and develop friendships with other girls. All of us leaders, 5 in total did the same and we called ourselves FEMS. We worked alongside one another for 7 years until I retired from the group and the girls graduated.
We decided that it would be nice to perhaps have a FEMS/husband dinner party and take turns hosting it - Michele signed up first. She did everything, creating a beautiful table settings, delicious food, gifts and festive crackers to pop as it was near Christmas. Whenever she did anything, Michele never left any stone unturned - we all left grateful and loved.
Things changed in 2020 and Michele Peter made a sacrificial decision that would change my life and our friendship forever. When the shutdowns happened we invited Michele and Peter to spend a weekend at our upstate house. They immediately fell in love with Walton. And after one day and a 4 hour tour ended up finding Michele’s dream home and property. The beauty of it was that it was 1/2 mile down the road from our home.
We began to dream of the future days where we would both live there in our retirement. Using the vast property and barn by creating a community for children and towns people that centered around Christ Jesus and whatever He Would Lead Peter & her to do. Michele was driven and spent 2 & 1/2 years restoring the 100+ farmhouse and barn and 200+ acres. She had an amazing vision, detail and ability to juggle many personalities in the construction world. I sat back and admired how capable and genius she worked.
These would turn out to be my most treasured years - because we would just have fun going anywhere like to a church thrift store or eating Belgium waffles with ice cream at the blueberry cafe. We would share our hopes and dreams for our marriage, children and grandchildren and encourage one another in prayer and many times Having Eucharist after a meal altogether.

In this last year, I saw my friend fight the hardest battle of all - many fears, excruciating pain and an unknown future. But Just like the construction projects, Michele remained resolute, worthy of the challenge and in prayer. She was always thankful for visits and I was grateful for any comfort I could bring. I remember just enjoying a picnic on her last birthday under a tree in the sun at Walton with her sister, sister in laws, my daughter and I . Such simple joys that I will hold close as I think about her.
I can’t bear to think of this world without Michele White in it. I know she was at peace when she gave me that last hug and being Michele worried about those she was leaving behind. Because of her faith in Jesus, I know she in her Savior’s Presence singing His Praise and fully free and He Welcoming her.
I miss you so much Michele White

The beauty of your generous spirit, reflecting the spirit of Jesus within, was so evident in all you did. The expression of your love and attention to detail shows in every decision you made in Walton. Thank you for your great love to and generosity to my sister, her family and me - our hearts are broken while we also rejoice that you are now with your beloved Savior.

We met Michele and Peter on North Captiva Island and only got to see them when they made their annual pilgrimage to Florida for a bit of warmth in the winter. It was always fun catching up with them and enjoying a meal or two while they visited. Michele had an amazing way about her that made you instantly feel like you had known her forever. We will miss her help weeding our garden - not for the weeding - for her company and hearing the war stories and progress on the farm each year. Anyone who knew Michele was a better person because of her friendship.

Michele blessed us in a special way. We met her and Peter on North Captiva Island as they were going to be our new neighbors. We loved spending time with them and always knew it was a special place for her and the family. She is with Jesus now and her presence will always be with us on island. Love Darryl & Joanne
I thank God every time I remember you. Philippians 1:3

Michele - you were and are an inspiration to Eileen and I in terms of your faithfulness and steadfastness to Christ and His ways. You exuded God’s grace wherever you went and blessed so many others along the way. Just watching you with your grandchildren at Sapporo’s displayed to us the love of Christ. Congratulations on receiving your eternal reward and please keep those of us still here, especially Peter and your family, in your prayers before the Father who you now know so dearly.

Beautiful song Pete. May the peace of the Lord comfort your heart as you grieve from this temporary passing of "your lady" Michele - into her Etenial bliss - where she awaits you." How do I know? Because YOU sang it : " ...UNITED BY GOD IN THE LIGHT OF HIS SON." Thank you both for your "Round -The-Clock Faith." (cf. Daily Reflections- Jan 19)

I’m struggling to write in past tense. For over fifty years I was blessed to have you in my life, my dearest friend, who will always feel like a sister. We both had been together through thick and thin, and I can’t believe you’re now in heaven. Rest easy. Your work here is done. You took on every obstacle and every opportunity with grace and with courage. A warrior. Your compassion and love is that of an angel and the world is more beautiful by your imprint on it. Good job, my friend. I love you, Michele. You will be so greatly missed. I have beautiful memories in between the tears and will have you in my heart always. Until we meet again. Rest easy in peace and love. See you later.

I only knew Michele for two winters in Florida and only was with her 4 or 5 times. In that short time I found a wonderful friend who shared so much with me and I her. She had a beautiful and loving soul. She talked about her kids and grandkids and how grateful she was for them. She loved to share what she had and what she had learned. I will miss seeing her in Florida and seeing her beautiful smile and the love she had for Peter. She loved talking about her farm she was redoing and put her heart and soul into it! She will be sorely missed!!!
