- April 19, 2026Mark Mundy is my best friend’s (Tim) father. I had the fortune of meeting Mark and spending a bit of time with him. Mark had a way about him. He was extremely gentle & kind with a clear air of strength.
While many will feel Mark left us too soon, he clearly lived an incredible life of personal & professional achievements. Thru my friendship with Tim, I got to know the legacy of Mark’s character and Patriarchal influence. What an incredible family. That alone is a testament to a successful life.
Mark’s professional resume speaks for itself. Mark was incredibly accomplished, from his service in the Army thru his entire body of work. Simply Impressive.
Mark had a subtle grace that was infectious. The stories that are being shared in his memory tell the story. He had a positive impact on just about everyone that he came in contact with. Myself included.
Mark live’s forever in each of us that were fortunate enough to have known and spent any time with him. I feel blessed to be in that group.

Peace be with you! 🙏🏽Mike Thompson - April 11, 2026Marky Mark’s passing has left a deep ache in our hearts, and our family will always remember him as not only a great friend but also a truly wonderful father to his sons, Todd and Tim—who grew up to be wonderful individuals and accomplished men through the loving guidance of him and Caryl—and to our dear friend Yvonne. He was a generous and caring man, always ready to lend a helping hand even before you could ask, and his presence was simply larger than life. We feel so grateful and privileged to have known him and to have shared precious Thanksgiving holidays with him, his loving wife Caryl, and his beautiful family. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered with warmth and gratitude.
Till we meet again, Marky Mark—may your soul rest in God’s eternal love and embrace. Our deepest and heartfelt condolences to Todd, Yvonne, Lucas, Ethan, and to Tim and his family..🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

We have so many memories of wonderful affairs for Methodist with them. It was with deep sadness we learned of your dad's passing. I also worked out at healthtrax with your mom an amazing woman.
We were away and were not able to attend his funeral. You are all in my prayers for this challenging time. - April 09, 2026Our sincere condolences to Caryl and the Mundy family. Mark was a wonderful man, who will be remembered for his leadership and devotion to the Methodist Hospital family. Ed had the privilege of working for Mark for over 25 years. We have fond memories of our time together, especially when we were away on the CCC trips!

- April 07, 2026Cousin Mark was really a brother to me, we grew up together. He was two months older than me, we went to the same schools, we graduated at the same time from St. Peters Catholic school and PS 35 in Staten Island. We both had two sons, who are the apple of our eyes. We both attended Manasquan High School and graduated the same year in 1960 and we both launched our professional careers in NYC at the same time. We truly loved each other and shared a lifetime of adventures. Our retirement years were also similar having moved to Florida, Mark playing golf and myself following baseball and professional sports.
Mark was an extremely generous man always making sure my family was safe and secure and well taken care of. His generosity during the Christmas holidays was immeasurable. I will miss my best stickball buddy forever, Love Cousin LynnJ. Lynn Leidersdorff - April 06, 2026I met Mark through his son Todd, who is my good friend (like a brother). Mark had the remarkable gift of genuinely recognizing the value and talent in everyone within his orbit. His forte was using that gift to quietly encourage you to do your best.
When you spoke with him, it felt as though you were the only person in the world, and he truly listened to your ideas. His encouragement helped me immeasurably when I was just starting out as a budding entrepreneur, and his support throughout the years has had a significant impact on my life.
Rest in peace, Mark, and may God bless you for all eternity. Please continue to watch over your family and the rest of us from your place in heaven.

- March 31, 2026So sorry to hear of his passing. My last eight years before my retirement were spent under his leadership at Methodist. He was most considerate and concerned for all of his staff and employees.

I had the pleasure to work with him at the Hospital when it was Methodist and when it went into New York Presbyterian. I remember one morning Mr. Mundy standing by the security desk in casual clothing and a cap on his head. I looked at him and smiled. He smiled back because I knew why he was there. Others were clueless. Mr. Mundy was always pleasant and said hello to me all the time in passing. R.I.P my dear old boss. You will be miss by many. Condolences to the family and friends.
