Sincere condolences to Cheryl on the loss of your dear Mother. Priscilla was a lovely and classy woman who was always kind and sincere. Met your Mom when I joined the CRIMSON CHAPEAUX chapter of RED HATS, and she was responsible for my joining the North Shore Womens' Christian League where she served on the board. She always spoke so lovingly and joyously of you when she was making the drive to stay by you. I could see how happy you made her, how much she enjoyed her stays with you, and the excitement in her preparation to make the journey.
Priscilla lived a long and fruitful life. She always dressed in style and wore lovely jewelry. She was especially proud of a charm necklace she had with sentimental charms all attached, and raved about the jeweler she had who did all the work.
Priscilla will be missed. Sadly our RED HAT group has only 2 people left, and a third who is 90 and not driving. But, I have nice memories when we had an active group of happy ladies going lots of places, into Manhattan for theatre, museums, tours. Priscilla enjoy going on any of the trips, and was an active driver, and a good one at that. At a meeting point, I once went with Priscilla when she had just bought her new Mercedes. She was so proud and happy with her new car and reveled in the driving of it.
May the very happy memories you have of your Mom bring you some solace as you think of her. No matter the age, it is hard to make that final goodbye to a parent. So, you have my deep sympathy, Cheryl.
