- February 22, 2024My deepest sympathy to the Caster family. RIP in he arms of Christ Richard. We never met. I'm the older brother of Frank Holmes (your Wiliamson QB, who thought so much of you). Frank and I got to see James Bogan before he passed so the three of you fill heaven with a powerfull Mobile offense.Bill Butch Holmes

- February 10, 2024Like everyone in the 1970s. we were big fans of Richard when he was a superstar with the Jets . We were blessed to get to know him when he and Jerome Barkum and Eddie Bell would come to our house to jam with my brother who was a professional drummer. Richard played bass. My mother would prepare a feast and it was always a holiday when he came over and we loved him for his humility, kindness and enormous heart.
He returned to the Shea Stadium with the Oilers and caught an 80 yard bomb to tie the game, and then a second touchdown to put the Oilers ahead. That day remains one of the happiest ever for me and the picture we took in the lockeroom after and the Houston Oiler Cannonball hat he popped on my head hang in my office as cherished memories of that day and how much my family and I loved him.
God Bless you Richard, and God Bless your family and loved ones.Steve Scarangella - February 09, 2024Lloyd Brumfield

- February 05, 2024My husband Ken was a great football fan. Ken taught me how to watch American football and I remember watching Richard Caster playing in my younger years and loving all the great plays he accomplished for the Jets. I never expected he would be my lovely cousin, Susan's, husband and the father of her children. I was very happy to meet him and Susan in recent years and had my photo taken with him. Surprised a Jets Fan. My heart goes out to Susan and their Sons and families at this very sad time for them all.
God Bless you all
