Obituary

With deep sadness, we announce that Charles X. Connick (“Chuck”), 75, of Garden City, New York, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026.

Chuck lived a life defined by purpose, hard work, and devotion to those he loved. He was born on July 22, 1950, in Arsdley, New York, and was raised in a large, close-knit Irish Catholic family as the third of seven siblings. From an early age, Chuck distinguished himself as an altar boy, track star, and dedicated student. He attended Cornell University’s School of Industrial Relations, where he was member of the rugby team and Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Working his way through college, Chuck demonstrated early on the determination and work ethic that he carried with him throughout his life. After graduating, Chuck attended Hofstra University School of Law, where he earned his law degree; it was also during this time that he met his beloved wife, Judy.

Chuck went on to build a distinguished career as a highly respected trial attorney. His law firm was his second home, where his coworkers became an extended family. He earned the respect of colleagues and clients for his sharp intellect and unwavering sense of justice. He was deeply dedicated to protecting the livelihoods of the doctors, veterinarians, and other professionals he represented. His love of horse racing and animals shaped his commitment to veterinary malpractice defense, leading to his authorship of a chapter entitled Veterinary Malpractice in Principles and Practices of Veterinary Anesthesia and recognition from the Veterinary Medical Association of New York City for his outstanding service to veterinary medicine.

Chuck will be remembered for his generosity and his boundless love for his family. There was nothing Chuck loved more than spending time with “his girls” — Judy, Christie, Kim, and Allison. In his leisure time, Chuck could often be found running, biking, reading historical literature, and sharing cherished moments with family and friends on the beach at Westhampton Beach.

Chuck is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Judy; his daughters, Christie Connick, Kimberly Connick Glisker (Tim), and Allison Heath (Adam); and his five cherished grandchildren, Madison, Connor, and Brendan Heath, and Ellie and Holly Glisker. He is also survived by his siblings, Thomas Connick (Rosemary), Nancy Daniele (Robert), Peter Connick (Ann), Tim Connick (Marsha), Margaret Connick, and Kate Connick; his mother-in-law, Barbara Hoffman; his sister-in-law, Jill Edwards (Steven); and his brother-in-law, Jeffery Hoffman (Patricia).

He is reunited in heaven with his parents Arthur and Ann Connick, and his father-in-law, Edwin Hoffman.

Chuck will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His life will be celebrated by his family and friends.
