Obituary

It is with deep respect and heartfelt remembrance that we celebrate the life of Paul Joseph Incarnato, a devoted family man, accomplished professional, proud veteran, and cherished friend. Paul passed away leaving behind a legacy defined by love, service, leadership, and unwavering commitment to those around him.

Born on February 12, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York, Paul lived a life marked by purpose and integrity. He proudly served his country in the United States Naval Air Reserves as an Aircrewman and Second Class Petty Officer. Stationed at NAS New York (Floyd Bennett Field) and NAS Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, he served from 1963 to 1971. Paul cherished his time in the service, often reflecting on those years with deep pride before receiving an honorable discharge after eight years.

Following his military service, Paul built a distinguished career in banking and corporate communications. Over a remarkable 28-year tenure from 1974 to 2001, he served at JPMorgan Chase and its predecessor institutions, including Manufacturers Hanover Trust, Chemical Bank, and Chase Manhattan Bank. Rising to the role of Vice President and Deputy Director of Corporate Advertising within Corporate Marketing & Communications, Paul earned the respect of colleagues through his professionalism, leadership, and dedication.

Beyond his professional achievements, Paul was deeply committed to his faith and community. A lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus, he attained the esteemed rank of Fourth-Degree Knight and served as Past Grand Knight. Elected to two terms as Grand Knight from 1975 to 1977, he remained an active and devoted member of Long Island Assembly #703 and Archbishop John Hughes Council No. 481 in Brooklyn. In recognition of his dedication, he was honored as a Lifetime Member.

Paul also contributed his expertise to the broader professional community, serving on the Board of Directors for both the Advertising Club of New York and the American Advertising Federation, where he held leadership roles including treasurer.

Family was at the heart of Paul’s life. He was a loving son to the late Daniel and Frances Incarnato, a devoted brother to Mary Campi and her husband John, and a joyful and proud uncle to Carisa Campanella and her husband Kevin, and Craig Campanella and his wife Lisa. He was a steadfast and loyal friend to Bill and Gloria Erdman and their family, including Erin Ortiz and her husband Drew, and his godson John Erdman and his wife Devon. He shared many treasured moments with extended family and friends, especially during time spent at the Garden City Country Club on Long Island.

Paul embraced life fully through his passions. He was an avid golfer, a skilled cook, and an enthusiastic skier. He loved the beach, baseball, and the outdoors, always finding joy in simple pleasures and shared experiences.

He will be remembered for his sharp wit, quick sense of humor, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life. Paul’s legacy is one of loyalty, service, and love—a life lived with intention and grace.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him. His spirit lives on in the hearts he touched.
