Peter E. Maggi lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Despite the aggressiveness of the disease, he met the challenge head on, assuring his family that he would fight and beat this devastating illness. While that did not come to pass, it is that very decisiveness and positivity that best described him. His can-do attitude is something that he passed along to his children, each knowing that anything can be achieved with hard work.

A 1959 graduate of Chaminade High School and a 1963 graduate of St Bonaventure University, Peter went on to hold many financial and entrepreneurial roles throughout his career. The role he most cherished was that of father.

Peter was predeceased by his parents Marie (Mae) and Eugene Maggi of Hicksville, NY, a sister, Barbara Maggi of Los Angeles, CA and his daughter, Elena Jude Maggi of East Moriches, NY. He is survived by three daughters, Christina Buckley and her husband Michael of Moorestown NJ, Kathleen Maggi of Garden City, NY and Margaret
Shea and her husband Brian of Larchmont, NY. In addition to his children, he is also survived by four grandchildren, Emily and Evan Buckley and Kyle and Trevor Shea and his long time companion, Sylvia Kwok.
