Theresa Barbati Casale, age 100, of Garden City NY, passed away on April 22nd 2026.

Theresa was born on July 23rd 1925 in Bay Ridge Brooklyn to Francis & Nicolas Barbati. She grew up in Brooklyn excelling in school and sports.

Theresa attended NYU at night while working at First National Bank (Citibank). Upon graduating she worked at a Manhattan advertising company selling ad space in newspapers across the country. 

Theresa was a woman of great faith, joining the bible study group at St Josephs. She was a voracious reader & loved to discuss a good story. She was an amazing cook from the simple family dinners to the Christmas Eve seven fishes meal. She was a fierce competitor on the Cherry Valley tennis courts and golf course. Her fond memory was winning the CVC parent/child low gross two years with grandson Peter Henle.  

Theresa is survived by her four children, Joan Henle (David), John (Diane), Paul (Andra) & Peter Casale.  She has 11 Grandchildren and 13 great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Dominic, and her sister Mary. 

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
