- October 27, 2025I was blessed to have had the Romaine’s move in next door. I spent the better portion of my childhood and teen years having Lou as a “second father” , mentor, fishing partner, and all around nice person. He is the reason for my love of doo wop music. I will miss Lou as I miss my father… He left everyone he knew with magnificent memories. Lou, rest in peace and please say hello to Brian.Barry Nosowitz
- October 27, 2025I remember as a young kid in the early 1970's my brother Eddie and I would love watching Louie and Gaspar play softball all over Nassau County. Louie would give us access to places the general public would not have. I will never forget Lou set me up as a 11 or 12 year old kid at Shea Stadium inside the press gate to meet all of the St.louis Cardinals and the Mets after a game. To me, it was like Christmas morning X 10 !! I loved playing softball against him--he was quite an athlete-but an even better man. Thank you Lou, we will never forget you ....

- October 26, 2025Lou was my older brother by 4 years so we had different friends and traveled in different circles. What I do remember very fondly is that we fished together and when he visited me in New Hampshire we hunted together. I also enjoyed the yearly visit with Lou and Judy. Lou was one of the best people I ever knew, he was always there for me and I will miss him immensely.Ted Romaine

- January 13, 2026My condolences to “bumper”s family and friends. I was a fellow TPF rookie member 1966 and friend for years, I have great memories of him,this one comes to mind, in 1979 I was in Japan I turned on the TV and on the screen was Lou in uniform confronting Tony Randall and Jack Klugman as the two were leering at the bar window of a top less bar. This was used as the intro to the sitcom of The Odd Couple tv show, being on Japanese TV the audio was in Japanese.Thor Stratton
