Anne, we are so sorry to hear of Terry’s passing. Always enjoyed my conversations with him, as did my parents for many years in Hampton Point. Rest in peace, Terry.

We met our second cousin Terry and family in 2000 in NYC and they were all very friendly. My deepest sympathies to all Terry’s family and friends on his sad passing

Our condolences to Anne & family. Bruce and I are new neighbors on the block and Terry made us feel like we were old friends, always said what was on his mind. We never met anyone who so earned his pride.

Sincere sympathy to you Anne and to Jennifer, Allison and Terence Jnr on the death of Terry. In 1968 Terry invited me to officiate at his wedding to Anne Hyland. Over the years since that I have made many visits to their homes in New York, East Quague and Florida. Terry’s most outstanding qualities were his generosity and hospitality and these qualities Anne has in abundance too. May God give Terry the wonderful happiness of Heaven and may he give peace and comfort to Anne, Allison, Jennifer and Terence Jnr and grandchildren and all who are broken hearted and grieving at this time.

Anne I am so Sorry for your loss Terry was a Very Good Man we will surely Miss him.

A wonderful neighbor and friend. We both were Iona and Fighting 69th brothers at different times. His family are a deep part of our lives and we hope their faith and memories will comfort them.

My condolences to Anne and family. I first met Terry at daily Mass at Immaculate Conception Church. We chatted often, exchanging family stories and you couldn’t help but love this man……one of the most honorable men I have ever met.

We have such fond memories of the warm welcome we received when we visited East Quogue and the time Terry took to drive us around the area showing us all his favorite spots. My kids have fond memories of that weekend, ice cream and Terry showing my son how to fish. He was always very welcoming to the many, many guests from Ireland who turned up at his door.

I would like to offer my condolences to Anne, Alison, Jennifer and Terry on the passing of Terry.

Terry and Anne were very kind to me when I first went to the USA in the mid-90's for the summer. Not only did they host me in Garden City but also helped me get set up in Southampton for summer work.

Terry and Anne also hosted me and my family for a few days in East Quogue in 2017 when we visited on a memorable family holiday.

My sincere condolences to Jen, Alison and Terry-I loved your dad. Mrs Cooke-you both always made me feel like part of the family beginning with Mr Cooke giving my favorite nickname when I moved to Garden City from Brooklyn at the age of ten- Jo Polniczek. Thank you both for your kindness.
Mr Cooke was a constant presence in my life through my friendships with his children- may he rest in peace. He will be missed!
