So many wonderful memories for Steve. I love his stories of just walking to your house and letting himself in to make himself breakfast. There are so many of those small but meaningful memories. We send love, hugs, and prayers.

Mere words can not express the loss of a man for all seasons. I had the privilage of working with Vince for the Village of New Hyde Park and he always was willing to go the extra mile on any project we worked on. His infectious laugh will be remembered as he was a person who always saw the bright side of life. May you rest in eternal peace my friend.

Vincent's passing is a huge loss to everyone who knew him. He was loved by so many and he is remembered by people from far away. Great smile, big heart. My deepest condolences to his family and friends at all who loved him.

Sorrow is easy to express and yet so hard to tell ... the description of Vincent is so accurate ... coz I've worked with him for 19 years at JCPenney, we Golfed and Bowled together and we had lots of FUN together ... God Bless your soul!!
When I was on "Bowling for Dollars", he wanted to be on TV so bad that he asked me if he could sit next to my wife as a spectator, so the TV camera will pan on him too!
    We had a great laugh!

To Ann and the whole Sauchelli Family, our deepest condolences at this time of sorrows.
    Love, Jerry and Angela Trinder.
Vince, you will always remain a part of my life and my memories. I joined the catalog art department at JCPenney in 1970 as a type specifier, at the age of 19; and I worked with you until the company moved to Dallas. From the beginning I recognized you as a very positive, friendly, generous and helpful human being. During the 18 years that I worked with you, you encouraged me and provided me with so many opportunities to grow in my career. When you moved into the direct mail division, you took me with you and promoted me numerous times. For all of your support over the years I remain very grateful to you, Vince. And I am so glad that we remained in touch and got to see one another (and you, too, Ann) over the years since that day in 1970. By the grace of God, our lives intertwined for 50 years. Imagine! And now Our Lord Jesus has promoted you to your most treasured calling. I hope that you will be praying for me and for my family, as I will be praying for your beautiful family while we are all still down here, preparing for the day when we, too, will hopefully meet Our Lord and get to visit with you again. In the meantime, I just want to wish you farewell, my friend. I know that my life, and the life of my family, would never have turned out so blessed without you as a wonderful influence in it. God be with you forever and ever!
✝️🙏❤️ And God be with you, too, Ann, and with all of your family. May His love and His grace guide us all through this world until the day that we also embrace Our Savior Christ Jesus in His Glorious Kingdom. Amen.

To Ann, Ellen, Patti, Jean and Family,

Despite being so far away from all of you and the health restrictions, I am so glad that you did a live stream. I think you all did a great job. I laughed and cried with you as well. There will never be anyone else like "my cousin Vinnie" and I am so sorry for the loss and pain that you are all feeling. That video production he did was an awesome tribute to family. He was always so open about his emotions. One of the most interesting things I learned from him was about the first time my mom introduced my dad to the family. Vinnie was imitating my dad pulling out this list of Italian jokes as my dad just started telling jokes one after another. Vinnie was so funny imitating him. My other funny memory was him badgering me to apply for jobs to run a hotel or casino in Vegas or Atlantic City so he could come and visit. He even offered to buy me a roll of stamps so I could send out my resume and see if I got any bites. What a guy! My thoughts and condolences are with all of you. Distance hugs to all! I hope you find peace and laughter again through all the wonderful memories you had with Vin! I will always hold my memories close to my heart!

Uncle Vinny was generous beyond compare with his family, near and far. He had a sign for me when basic training kept me away from a family reunion; that picture has a prominent place on the wall at home. We have always treasured our time with him at an Army football game in 2005. The inconvenient weather that day was no match for Uncle Vinny’s personality, and I know his memory will carry through these tough times as well so we can celebrate his life.

I'd like to share this poem with all of Vincent's family and friends. Listen closely and you should be able to hear his voice.

    After Glow
I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one,
I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when day is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun
Of happy memories that I leave behind when day is done.

Uncle Vincent was my (and my brother Chris's and sister Dorothy's) one and only Uncle. He will be surely missed. I remember especially his bear hugs when he greeted you, and as kids seeing Aunt Ann and Uncle Vincent at Thanksgiving, Christmas and birthdays with Ellen, Patty and Jeanne, always fun seeing my Uncle. Especially remember seeing him when I was little at Grandpa Sauchelli's store in Astoria, learning how to play and playing pool in his basement (on a really nice table), checking out the new gadgets he had (he liked the newest tech), the funny stories he told that would make you roll, and the way he enjoyed life with his family. Uncle Vincent, rest peacefully comforted by the love you gave and received in your life. Love you... Your nephew, Robert

My Cousin Vincent. I will always remember his warm loving smile. His personality was bigger than life itself. He was funny, engaging and had tremendous love for his family. My favorite memory of him was when his daughter,Patti, was in labor at L.I.J. hospital in New Hyde Park. He stood outside the building and yelled up to the 3rd floor, "Patti, I Love You. Did the baby come yet?"..... as he passed balloons up to the labor and delivery windows. Everyone in L&D said "that was a first." Yes, he was one of a kind. I love you cousin Vincent. Rest in Peace. You will always live in my heart.

When I met this man almost 45 years ago he tried to shoot me with cheese whiz (don’t ask). I knew then he was a man full of love for his family and had a tremendous heart of gold. He made me feel like part of the family all these years. I will cherish all the times we spent together, the family trip to Disney (thanks for my shirt) and the stories you told me. Mr. Sauchelli you were the best and always will be. You will always hold a very special place in my life and my heart. I’ll miss you always. ❤️
